Overpriced, low quality products, and unfriendly customer service in the face of a friendly customer. Selling 3 1/2” wood screws for $.61 each that are total garbage. They take full advantage of their location. This is why Amazon, Home Depot and Lowes are beating local stores like this. Selfishly, I wish they would improve their service and provide better products. Even if the prices stayed high, better service and higher quality products could compensate. They just don’t seem to care. Sad.

Went here because American Royal Hardware in Watchung Plaza was closed. I should have waited or just went to Home Depot.
Rude guy helped me with paint, I guess I was a bother interrupting his coffee. Could barely hear him speak- more like grunts. He shuffled along, no eye contact, no offer to help with anything else when I was lost in the brushes-- nothing. Unbelievably unhelpful and just rude. Again, I compare this to American Royal Hardware, where they smile, offer to help, ask you questions about your project- serving the customer.
Wife reminded me that I swore off this place years ago because of the same kinda treatment. Unfortunately, nothing has changed.
Don't waste your time with this place- got to American Royal Hardware or Home Depot.
I try to shop local, but if my choice is a big box store or this place-- I'll take the big box store anyday.

Where to begin, probably by stating I will not be returning. They seem bothered by the presence of people; almost like a customer is an interruption in their busy day stocking merchandise to collect dust. I've been there a few times as I like to support local businesses however, every single time finding help is like pulling teeth. The final straw was buying an item and being charged 8 dollars more than labeled. When I called to have them remedy the problem they let me know that the price tag was old and that they charged me the updated price. If I did like it, I could return the item, but they were not giving me the price on the box. This is false advertisement since all the prices were facing the isle and the customer. The item can easily be bought for 15 dollars less at a big box store but because I wanted to support small businesses I went local. Don't question why people prefer Amazon to condescending local attitudes.

Poor customer service. We purchased a Weber grill from Saunders about 2 years ago. It cost about $1,000, and while I could have purchased it for less, I believed they would provide better service. I was wrong.
During the pandemic, we bought replacement parts online. They didn't fit perfectly, but we decided to use until things calmed down. I called Saunder's to order replacement parts today.
Patrick, who said he was the manager, refused to look up my name in their records, or order the parts by the grill model number. He told us to measure part, and he would order that size. Weber replacement parts must fit exactly, and often different by a 1/16 of an inch. Because we had tried to replace during the pandemic, we didn't have the parts to measure.
We went online, and a vender helped us locate the model number to ensure we got the right parts (they apparently are not common). They are shipping them to use, and while we might pay a little more, it was well worth it.
There is no reason to pay Saunders high prices, if they don't have customer service. You can buy Webers at Costco, Home Depot or several over local hardware stores. I recommend that.

Poor customer service.... I came in before 5pm to get Benjamin Moore paint. After ordering my paint, I wanted to get another can and while trying to decide which color to buy, at 5:10pm, the "manager" said that it's too late because they need to clean the machines. When I questioned his customer service, he said that he doesn't get paid past 5:30pm. He also said that I can go to Ace Hardware, Ricciardi Brothers or Home Depot. Well, so much for supporting a local business. I now know where to go next time!
