About Montclair Life & Leisure and this site.

My grandfather opened his business on Valley Rd in Upper Montclair center in 1923.  My dad owned his business in Montclair until he retired in 1989.  I opened my first business in Montclair on 1981.  Born and raised here, I love this town.  For years I owned a 48 track recording studio where we recorded and mixed records for local bands as well as international stars, Earth Wind & Fire, Diana Ross, Mary J. Blige, and so many more.  After that, I owned my little newspaper, Montclair Life & Leisure and a radio station, WRVM.

This website is born out of the love for Montclair the gratitude for growing up here, the shop owners, the classmates, the teachers and all the people who have made this such a unique and amazing community.  Recently I celebrated my 40 year high school reunion (Montclair High School class of 1979).  The bond that we share, the love that we have for each other and this town is what inspired me to try and create a website that gives back to the community in a small (but hopefully enjoyable) way and to the shop owners who contribute so much to what makes Montclair so special.
