I do not usually leave a bad review unless I leave a place feeling completely awful- and that is exactly happened this morning. It’s a lovely place to drop in and buy a gift for someone, but trust me when I say I will never do that again. This is not the first time I’ve had horrible customer service here and I see that I’m not the only one. What a shame. No smile, rushed and huge attitude. Why? It’s a beautiful sunny day. If you don’t like your job, I’m sure there are plenty of other people who could treat customers like human beings. Hoping the owner will care how her customers are being treated.

Jafajems is an exotic and eclectic store that sparks an individual’s appreciation for multicultural artwork, furniture, jewelry, and exotic treasures. This store focuses on gathering specialty hand crafted pieces from around the world such as Thailand, Indonesia, Africa, Columbia, and India, just to name a few. This store is for the buyer who appreciates art from its native country that is created with meticulous craftsmanship. This self owned Montclair Jen located in Vally Road is a visual splendor.
If you are looking to make a special purchase for your home or wardrobe, this neighborhood treasure is worth a visit. Items may run a bit high, but they are collector’s pieces and a portion of the funds are given back to the people, tribes, and villages that assemble these products .

I asked for advice on a product and she answered but was bad attitude. She didn't smile, she wasn't nice so I don't want to go to there anymore.
Terrible customer service and general bad attitude.

In the past I have spent a lot of money in this store. After my experience today I would return every single purchase If I could. After raving about the store to my husband, we visited the store along with the rest of our family! I was prepared to spend a couple hundred dollars on a wooden bookshelf I had just convinced my husband to buy... I was so disappointed after our visit! I have never in my life been more uncomfortable! The woman at the desk neither greeted us nor responded to me when I walked in saying Hello! She followed my 11 year old around, staring her down as if she were gonna destroy the whole place. My 11yo was so fascinated with all the different items in the store & it broke my heart that I had to pull her away because of how unwelcome she was! I strongly urge you not to give this store your business. They neither value nor appreciate their loyal customers... Especially if you have children!!!

Lots of reviews are commenting on the customer service. I barely interacted with the sales staff so I can't give that perspective. What I can say is that the items in the store are absolutely beautiful. Whether you're looking for a gift or trying to find new decor for your own home, this store will serve you well.
