Preordered the Fried Chicken family style meal for 4 and we all enjoyed the food greatly. $45 per person and we had plenty of fried chicken to take home. Really appreciated great service which seems to be lacking elsewhere lately. We did complement our waiter and while speaking with him he told us that he has been there for 7-8 years. He mentioned that one if the cooks started when he did as a dish washer and worked his way up. This speaks volumes about the owners/manager in that they take care of their employees and help them grow. Will return.
Yesterday was our first time at Turtle + The Wolf and it won't be our last. The restaurant has a great vibe and the food is fantastic. We had the fried chicken dinner for 2 plus some oysters to start and it was all great. Even things like the simple green salad were fantastic. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
We were a group of 3 who came here for my mothers birthday. On the reservation I noted that we were celebrating my moms birthday. When we arrived at the host we were immediately seated and she wished my mom a happy birthday which I thought was very nice that she made noted to do so. Restaurant is very sleek and modern looking. They played great music and the art decor was pretty cool. I noticed on the menu that they specialized the menu for my mom and put Happy birthday on it for her and I knew right there I was gonna be blown away. I really appreciated the little things the restaurant did and the staff. Our waiter I believe his name was Craig (š¬) was awesome. Very attentive, knowledgeable and really enhanced our dining experience. The whole staff was amazing really. Good was amazing, we wanted to try everything but our stomachs wouldnāt allow it lol. We had the oysters, pate, and tartare, dinner was fried chicken, brick chicken, and swordfish. We all shared and everything was truly delicious, especially the fried chicken. What a crunch! And the side sauces and biscuits, chef kiss! Dessert was amazing too and they brought it out with a candle. I really enjoyed the dessert dining experience here, my mom loved it and I will definitely be back again. It was truly a special evening which they help create.
I've been wanting to try this spot for years and I'm so glad I finally made it. We started with the rosemary fococcia which is a must try. It has a nice crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We also ordered the beef tartare and shishito peppers which were both very good. For the mains we ordered the steak medium rare, although it came out more medium. The au poivre sauce and the crispy fries were the stars of the show. I ordered the squid ink risotto and octopus which was good. I definitely want to come back to try their fried chicken dinner which they're known for and the muscles. For dessert we got the chocolate peanut butter pie and the donuts. BYOB, if you forgot don't worry, there's a wine shop across the street and next door.
The food was very good. Probably the first time Iāve been impressed with a chicken dish. The ābrickā chicken was tender, flavorful and delicious. The ambiance is nice but is quite crowded. maybe a bit rowdier than iād like but very cozy. Service was prompt and quite charming.
