We were a group of 3 who came here for my mothers birthday. On the reservation I noted that we were celebrating my moms birthday. When we arrived at the host we were immediately seated and she wished my mom a happy birthday which I thought was very nice that she made noted to do so. Restaurant is very sleek and modern looking. They played great music and the art decor was pretty cool. I noticed on the menu that they specialized the menu for my mom and put Happy birthday on it for her and I knew right there I was gonna be blown away. I really appreciated the little things the restaurant did and the staff. Our waiter I believe his name was Craig (😬) was awesome. Very attentive, knowledgeable and really enhanced our dining experience. The whole staff was amazing really. Good was amazing, we wanted to try everything but our stomachs wouldn’t allow it lol. We had the oysters, pate, and tartare, dinner was fried chicken, brick chicken, and swordfish. We all shared and everything was truly delicious, especially the fried chicken. What a crunch! And the side sauces and biscuits, chef kiss! Dessert was amazing too and they brought it out with a candle. I really enjoyed the dessert dining experience here, my mom loved it and I will definitely be back again. It was truly a special evening which they help create.
I've been wanting to try this spot for years and I'm so glad I finally made it. We started with the rosemary fococcia which is a must try. It has a nice crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We also ordered the beef tartare and shishito peppers which were both very good. For the mains we ordered the steak medium rare, although it came out more medium. The au poivre sauce and the crispy fries were the stars of the show. I ordered the squid ink risotto and octopus which was good. I definitely want to come back to try their fried chicken dinner which they're known for and the muscles. For dessert we got the chocolate peanut butter pie and the donuts. BYOB, if you forgot don't worry, there's a wine shop across the street and next door.
Friends of my husband's took us out to dinner here. This is one of their go-to upscale places to eat and I was eager to try it based on how much they raved about it. However, I was not impressed. The duck pie was small, pastry was not bad but nothing special. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of duck meat inside the pie but there were several bones in, about an inch long. It was overall quite bland and dry due to not having enough gravy. I personally don't believe the amount of duck offset the $48 price. The ragu was good but small portioned. The pasta did taste good which they claim is homemade. The sauce was extremely bland and I wish there was a little more shredded pork. The desserts were not much better. The apple crisp was in a cast iron. It was lukewarm, with light seasoning. I thought it would pack more of a punch and have a nice crisp, crumble top but no. The sauce that goes with it was a little thick and didn't add much aside from sweetness. The cheesecake tasted nice but nothing unique. I thought the blueberry compote would be excellent, nice and thick but still gooey. It was not, basically just the berries, and there wasn't enough of it in my opinion. The caramel dessert was just bland, reminded me of a flan actually. The donuts I thought were alright, a lot of sugar, nothing special. They do give you a lot which is nice. The orange syrup was watery. I did like the orange taste but it was very faint. They are definitely selling an experience as the service was good, staff very friendly, and the place had a cozy, sophisticated atmosphere. Unfortunate that the food fell short, way too overpriced.
What a great experience! Very creative dishes and super tasty. Our server was already very kind and gave us very good recommendations. Highly recommend the Burrata with Brussels sprouts and the scallops. Will definitely be back to try other dishes!
This place has a cute atmosphere with the little dinosaurs around the restaurant. We sat at the counter next to the kitchen. Our server was the nicest and most attentive server I had in a while. Gave us the rundown of the menu. We wanted to try their fried chicken, which wasn't on the menu. You have to ask them about it. That meal came with a salad, fried chicken and the sides, and a dessert to share. The potato wedges were delicious. The fried chicken was ok. The biscuits tasted like the Pillsbury ones, not hating on them, though. For dessert, we had the donuts, which were so yummy! Overall, the food was alright. The atmosphere was definitely my favorite part!
