Under the prior owner (she was amazing!) you had a highly skilled framer with an amazing eye and she valued customer relationships and service. Which is why I was a repeat customer for years!
Now you have what I would consider amateur framers who have attitude problems and integrity issues when it comes to pricing. The young woman in the front of the store has an inflated view of her ability, quoted ridiculously high prices and her boss the new “owner or manager” in Montclair is average at best and questionable. I would call them both condescending.
I hope the owner in NY reads this and decides to do something about it because honestly they were among the best for years in Montclair.

After doing some underwhelming trial runs with other frame shops before starting the daunting task of framing 100+ pieces; I finally stumbled into the right place. Wade Maxx. Wade Maxx is THE place to frame your special piece(s). Their extremely knowledgeable staff (Krista & Steve) are the best in the business and their consultations are invaluable. They have countless frame samples on hand, so you can really get an idea of what your piece will look like before committing to a frame. They will explain the different options available to you for the mounting technique, matting variety and glass type. After my first couple trips there, I know more about framing than I ever thought I would! I have been using them for a couple of years now for both my personal and professional framing needs; and will never go anywhere else. They have the knowledge and capability to frame anything of any size. I have framed everything from family photos, important documents, art prints and paintings. Their work continues to amaze both my family members and clients. Attached are some photos of the work they have done for me. Truly amazing stuff. Go to Wade Maxx, you won't be disappointed.

The team at Wade Maxx is amazing. They are so helpful, courteous and patient. I have had 2 pieces framed at Wade Maxx in Montclair. Each one turned out beautifully and far exceeded my expectations. Steve is a wonder worker with a great eye for picking the right frame for each piece of artwork. He picked out the best possible frame for a Ketubah I created for my wife. It is now hanging in our home where it will stay for the rest of our lives, and even outlast us! Thank you Steve and the Wade Maxx team for the creative support and willingness to help me with my projects.

I walked into Wade Maxx honestly feeling a little overwhelmed as I've never had anything worth framing, but let me tell you the experience could not have gone any better! As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted by Krista. She really took her time to find out what my vision was and I really appreciated it. I honestly cannot stress enough how great customer service turned this daunting chore into a wonderful picture.
